Jessica Waterford, Coordinator for a local children’s advocacy center that helps respond to allegations of child abuse. I also serve as one of the centers lead Child Forensic Interview Specialist to conduct trauma-informed and legally defendable interviews. I hold a Master’s of Social Work from California State University Sacramento and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from San Jose State University.
I began my career working with local nonprofits, including KidsFirst, and have over 13 years of experience working with at risk youth in various capacities including foster placement and emergency shelters. I also sit on the commission for First 5 Placer and the board of directors for Roseville Police Activities League, a nonprofit venture that uses various athletic and social-emotional programs to enrich the lives of youth. I have trained hundreds of professionals locally and statewide for the purposes of education, prevention, and intervention of child abuse.
I am committed to advocate for children and families and find passion in helping give kids the opportunity to tell their story and have their voices heard.
